Gunmen abduct 90-year-old grandmother in Delta State

A 90-year-old grandmother, Mrs Egbeshire Otovwievwie, was on Friday abducted by suspected kidnappers in Delta State.

The victim is said to be the mother of the national vice chairman of National Union of Petroleum, Energy and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG.
The 90-year old widow was kidnapped at her residence in Olomu Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, by five gunmen who invaded her house in a Toyota Camry car.
It was still unclear if the victim’s abductors have contacted her family members for ransom.
A community source disclosed that all attempts by the community youth to block the kidnappers’ vehicle while leaving was fruitless.
He stated that the youth could not intervene as a result of the indiscriminate shooting coming from the kidnappers during the operation.
